# Evidence and sources

Research checked 10 September 2026. This is a focused academic synthesis, not a preregistered systematic review. The numbered evidence map distinguishes intervention research, associations and our own design choices. Academic citations do not imply endorsement.

## What the evidence supports

Structured reflection and teamwork training have supportive intervention evidence, but study settings, measures and implementation differ. Several reviews reuse underlying studies: their sample counts must not be added as independent confirmation. A prompt pack is not the intervention studied. No promised improvement percentage is appropriate.

Clear roles, shared information and shared understanding are useful design directions, with much associative evidence. A pleasant meeting, completed charter or positive pulse response does not establish improved delivery. Ask whether customer outcomes improved without shifting burden elsewhere.

## Original design choices

The ten skill boundaries, exact templates, four-norm limit, 40-minute agenda, ten-minute debrief, two-meeting trial and balancing-measure format are Polar Bear workflow choices. They are adjustable, not tested prescriptions. Independent input, no forced disclosure, role-based ownership and explicit human review are implementation safeguards. Before/after trials guide local decisions but cannot isolate causality when staffing, scope or demand changes.

## Practical evidence standard

Record what was expected, what happened, one plausible process explanation, at least one alternative and the next observation. Prefer a small useful work artifact over surveillance. Pair a delivery outcome with burden/quality checks. Do not claim a team is failing because an unvalidated AI checklist says so.
